Modify an IP interface

Unisphere provides monitoring and management for Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe/TCP) directors, NVMe/TCP ports, NVMe/TCP endpoints, IP interfaces, and IP routes.

Steps

  1. Select a storage system running PowerMaxOS 10 (6079).
  2. Select System > iSCSI+NVMe and click NVME tab to open the NVMe dashboard.
  3. Click IP Interfaces.
  4. Select an IP interface and click Modify.
  5. Modify the value for the IP Address.
    You specify the IPv4 address in dotted decimal notation. You specify the IPv6 address in colon-hexadecimal format. The IP address must be unique within an OR Director Emulation/Network ID combination.
  6. Modify the value for the Prefix.
    You specify an IPv4 prefix length value in the range of 1 through 30. You specify an IPv6 prefix length value in the range of 1 through 128.
  7. Modify the value for the Network ID.
    Valid values range from 1 through 16383.
  8. Optional: Modify the value for the Maximum Transmission Unit.
    Default value is 1500. Valid values range from 1200 through 9000.
  9. Optional: Select an option for Centralized Discovery Controller from one of the following options:
    • Autodiscovery of CDC IP address—Multicast DNS (mDNS) is enabled on the interface and it performs registration with the CDC if available.
    • Advertise DDC IP Address—mDNS is enabled but does not attempt to determine if there is a CDC in the fabric.
    • Autodiscovery disabled—mDNS is disabled on the interface.
    • Manual Configuration of CDC IP Address—mDNS is disabled on the interface and you are allowed to enter values for CDC IP Address and CDC Port Number.
  10. Click OK.
